Jack-knifed semi causes backup on I-40 West of Nashville
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A tractor-trailer crashed early Monday morning and traffic was narrowed to one lane coming into Nashville on the interstate amid ongoing rain. The crash was reported at approximately 2:20 a.m. by the Tennessee Department of Transportation and occurred in front of the Charlotte Pike exit ramp on I-40 East.

(WFXR) – A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 9 p.m. for the New River Valley and Greenbrier Valley. A strong line of storms from the west will move into the region this afternoon and evening. Strong gusty winds are the main threat, but large hail and an isolated tornado cannot be ruled. The intensity of the storms should start to decrease after sunset at temperatures cool.
