LEAP to Hold Nashville Sounds Ticket Fundraiser for Franklin Police
The Franklin-based Law Enforcement Assistance Partnership (LEAP) program is hoping to hit a grand slam for its home team police department. For each ticket purchased through the LEAP website to the June 21 Nashville Sounds game, $5 will be donated to the organization. The money will then be used to benefit the men and women at the Franklin Police Department. LEAP provides funding to police officers and their families in times of need. LEAP also purchases equipment for the department and offers college scholarships to children or stepchildren of sworn officers.

4th annual Franklin Book Festival honors late founder Bill Peach
The fourth annual Franklin Book Festival recently welcomed book enthusiasts from near and far. Presented by the Authors Circle of Middle Tennessee and the Williamson County Public Library, this year’s iteration was a fitting tribute to its visionary founder, the late Bill Peach, who died in December 2023. The event was rechristened as the Bill Peach Book Festival this year in his honor.
California-based manufacturing company headed to Williamson County
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A California-based manufacturing company will move its operations to Williamson County, officials announced Tuesday. Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee, Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter and Lazestar, Inc. officials announced the company will invest $5.5 million to relocate its operations from Livermore, California, to Fairview, Tennessee.
