Beekmantown came tearing into Monday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs) and they left with even more momentum. They had just enough and edged the Northern Adirondack Bobcats out 4-3. Massena Fire Department now includes eight firefighters trained as EMTs
MASSENA - Massena Fire Department members, both career and volunteer, continue to train at Clarkson University to become New York State Basic Emergency Medical Technicians. Fire officials say six career and two volunteer firefighters have taken the arduous course over the course of the last year, allowing them to respond to high priority medical emergencies within the town and village of Massena.

The month of April is National Donate Life Month, and to raise awareness about the critical need for organ donors in New York State, community leaders in Malone gathered this week to honor a local organ donor, Jodi Andrews, and her incredible gift of life. Andrews, a mom & grandmother, died unexpectedly last fall at the age of 52. Her decision to register as an organ donor saved the lives of four other people who were in desperate need of organ transplants.
