Nugget Market planned for new retail center in Rocklin
ROCKLIN, Calif. — The Rocklin City Council approved a general development plan amendment for a new retail center in the Whitney Ranch neighborhood. The development plan amendment approved at a May 14 meeting allows the size and location of the freeway signs near the on and off-ramps of Highway 65 and Whitney Ranch Parkway interchange to be evaluated and approved by the city council, according to the ordinance.

Three area organizations have joined forces to host a community market in Linda that seeks to provide free access to healthy and fresh produce for residents. Called Harmony Market, this new community event is the product of collaboration between Blue Zones Project Yuba Sutter, Harmony Health and the Yuba-Sutter Food Bank. It is scheduled to launch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 21 with three more markets planned for the third Tuesday of each month through August, organizers said.
