Opponents of the Atlas Renewables solar farm in the town of Kirkland give three main reasons for their stance:. The project will cause increased flooding along the Mud and Sauquoit Creeks. That may be true, but I have yet to see an analysis showing how much flooding might be expected to increase. For example, if the 50-plus acres of forest are cleared, will there be one extra flooding event every 1,000 years, every 100 years, or every 10 years? Or, if flooding events will be more severe, what additional areas might be impacted?
Utica woman charged in late-night stabbing
UTICA, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) — A late-night stabbing has put one person in the hospital and another person under arrest in the City of Utica, according to Utica Police. Police were called to the 500 block of Eagle Street at approximately 11 pm on Monday, April 29 regarding a stabbing investigation. Once they arrived, they were met with a victim who had obvious injuries to her arm and hands.
