Man convicted of manslaughter for stabbing friend while visiting Lake Charles
LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - A Beaumont man was convicted of manslaughter after prosecutors say he stabbed his friend while visiting Lake Charles in 2016. Joseph Jamaad LeDay, now 35, was high on PCP when he attacked his friend, Wesley Anderson III, who later died, according to prosecutors. Anderson, who was 40, was found lying on the side of Prien Lake Road with stab wounds after midnight on May 14, 2016.

A tornado in Sulphur was an EF-2 with winds reaching 135 miles, and a tornado that moved from Westlake into Lake Charles Monday afternoon was an EF-I with 120 mph winds, a preliminary survey by the National Weather Service has found.

As we wrap up the weekend, a very similar type of day is expected Sunday. Patchy fog is possible again during the early morning hours and close to sunrise. However fog should be able to dissipate quickly during the morning leading to another very warm and sunny afternoon. In fact with easterly winds expected, highs are likely to become even warmer and should approach (or even exceed) the 90 degree mark away from the coast! It also will feel warmer, and heat indices could reach the mid 90′s.
