Moulton softball: Kittens run rule D’Hanis in bi-district round
The Moulton softball team pulled away from D’Hanis in the bi-district round Thursday at Marion with a nine-run fourth inning for a 14-3 win. After a scoreless first inning, Moulton scored five runs in the bottom of the second frame; D’Hanis got within 5-2 in the top of the third and then get within 5-3 in the fifth box.
Lady Eagles sweep Jarrell
Salado Lady Eagles face the La Grange Lady Leopards in the Area Round of the UIL 4A softball playoffs after sweeping Jarrell last week. Game 1 will be 5 p.m. May 2 at Thrall High School. Game 2 will be 30 minutes after Game 1. Game 3, if necessary, will be 6 p.m. May 3 at Thrall.
