Point Volleyball highlights Eight Daktronics NAIA Volleyball Scholar-Athletes
WEST POINT, Ga. (Nov. 28, 2023) - The NAIA has released the list for the Daktronics NAIA Women's Volleyball Scholar-Athletes list. The criteria to be featured on this list are achieving a 3.5 Cumulative GPA or higher, appearing on the eligibility certificate for the sport, and having attended the institution for one full year. Point Volleyball had eight players who would make the list as Abigail Hardwick, Ava Clay, Caraline Jackson, Claire Cordell, Janie Marie Messer, Jordan Palmer, Kristina Faison, and Lexi Arter each made the list.
3rd round playoff wrap – Jefferson earns semifinal berth, Gainesville, Buford shocked
In the quarterfinal round of the GHSA playoffs, just Jefferson prevailed out of the six Northeast Georgia teams still alive and earned a berth into the semifinals. The Dragons blew out Harris County on the road, 35-12. Gainesville was shocked by Woodward Academy, 20-17, to see their season come to a close, while Buford saw their season come to a screeching halt in a slugfest at Grayson, 19-14.
