Beauregard Volleyball Starts Season Strong
The Beauregard Lady Hornets Varsity Volleyball team has been off to a strong start in the 2023 season. The varsity team participated in the Elmore County Block party tournament on Sept.16, where it was 3 and 0 beating ACA, Wetumpka and Marbury in pool play. Moving into bracket play, the team faced ACA and Horseshoe Bend to advance to the championship match. The Hornets ended the tournament as runner up playing against PCA.

Men’s Soccer drops SSAC match to Faulkner at home
The game started with goalie Callum Thompson at the net for Point. It wasn't long before Faulkner found the net, as Antoine Marques scored the first goal assisted by Ilan Tabet at 3:37, putting Faulkner up 1-0. Discipline problems for Point marred the first half. Julio Souza received a yellow card at 28:41. In a significant setback, Callum Thompson was red-carded at 34:28. This led to a penalty kick for Faulkner, which substitute goalie Daniel Oviedo saved.
