LGBTQ+ friends, families, and allies invited to Hiawatha Pride Cruise
Williamsport, Pa. — Celebrate Pride Month with West Branch Pride's third annual Pride Cruise on the Hiawatha! The 2-hour cruise on the Susquehanna will feature music, door prizes, raffles, and refreshments — including rainbow cupcakes! Hiawatha’s cash bar will also be open during the cruise. At West Branch Pride, everyone is welcome and everyone belongs! Tickets can be purchased at westbranchpride.org for $20 ages 14 and up, $7 ages 3-14, no charge for kids under age 3. The event is intended to be family-friendly. Design picked for Iowa City Park Pool
IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - On May 21st, 2024, the Iowa City City Council voted unanimously to move forward with “Option A” as the replacement design for the City Park Pool. The new design would provide a zero-depth leisure pool, a six 50-meter lap lane pool, a diving tank with low and high diving boards, and a new bath and filter house. However, officials are still refining the specifics of the design as they move forward with the concept.

IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — Assistant coach Jenni Fitzgerald, who worked for 32 years on Lisa Bluder’s staffs at Drake and Iowa, announced her retirement Wednesday. Fitzgerald follows Bluder into retirement rather than continue on the staff of new Iowa coach Jan Jensen, who was her teammate at Drake from 1986-90.
