Westfield cable TV shows interview students at high school’s airport hangar
WESTFIELD — Westfield Community Programming will showcase the unique aviation program at Westfield Technical Academy with two programs to air this month. Both were filmed at WTA’s aviation hangar at Westfield-Barnes Regional Airport. The first of the two programs, filmed for “Superintendent’s Spotlight” with Stefan Czaporowski and “On the Mark” with Mark G. Auerbach, premieres in prime time at 8 p.m. Thursday, May 23, on Westfield Community Programming, WSKB 89.5 FM, Southwick Community Television, Agawam Media, and YouTube (search for WSKB Community Radio Channel). The second part premieres at 9 a.m. Thursday, May 30. Both programs will be repeated the following Wednesday during the regularly scheduled broadcast of “On the Mark” at 9 a.m.
104th Fighter Wing warns of taxiway construction’s impact on public
The $32 million enlargement and rebuilding of Taxiway B South at Westfield-Barnes Regional Airport will result in additional, but temporary, jet noise south of the airfield. Work on the Taxiway B South is expected to last into the fall and result in a paved area that’s wider and safer for both military and civilian aircraft.

Hello, I hope everyone is enjoying the warmer and sunnier weather. Over the past few weeks, we have had quite a few fun events and most importantly passed the House budget. Last week I went to the ribbon cutting for James Hardie Manufacturing, and attended a great mental health event at the Forum House in Westfield, which is always one of my favorite places to visit. I also attended the Southampton Annual Town Meeting where I heard a wide range of concerns and considerations and learned more about the intricacies of how the town is run.

Westfield skate park plans hit bump with costs estimated higher than expected
