WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – West Hartford school administrators are concerned over a drawing of a swastika found in William H. Hall High School on Friday.

In a letter to parents, Hall principal Dan Zittoun said that graffiti was discovered in a bathroom near the gymnasium before the start of their 8th period.

Zittoun said of Friday’s incident, “West Hartford Public Schools holds close to its values and efforts to create inclusive environments. Symbols of hate and degrading speech have no place within our schools.”

This is not the first time someone at Hall High School has expressed hateful sentiments on their bathroom walls. There was a similar ongoing problem with racist graffiti at Hall two years ago, in 2022.

The school will have an assembly on the dangers of hate crimes on Monday. The administration is asking any students with information about the incident to submit it to their anonymous alert app .
