WENATCHEE, Wash. -- The Chelan County Sheriff's Office rescued and arrested a man suspected of arson who became lost in the woods.

According to the sheriff's office, deputies responded to a trailer on Cloud Cap Lane in Wenatchee around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday for an arson call.

The victim told law enforcement 47-year-old Cory Presby had lit the camping trailer on fire before leaving the scene. The trailer was fully engulfed when deputies arrived.

Deputies searched the nearby area with a drone and a helicopter, but Presby could not be located.

Deputies say around 9:30 p.m., Presby called law enforcement and said he had become lost in the mountains, was cold, and needed rescuing. He was located about less than a mile from the arson scene and arrested.

Presby faces charges of first-degree arson and a felony violation of a no-contact order.
