Arizona Governor Boosts Border Security with $25M Investment
Governor Katie Hobbs announced a $25 million investment in security measures along the Sonora Mexico-Arizona border during her visit to Southern Arizona. The funds will be allocated to enhance security in areas such as Yuma and Welton, including upgrades in communications, additional vehicles, and hiring more personnel. This investment demonstrates Governor Hobbs' commitment to addressing Arizona's pressing issues, including border security. In a separate announcement, Gov. Hobbs, together with top water officials, imposed construction project limitations due to the state's rapidly depleting groundwater reserves.

Construction plans have been submitted in Yuma for a $6.7M, 122-room Everhome Suites Hotel to be built at the SWC of Pacific Avenue and 18th Street. Warming temperatures for the first weekend of June
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - Taking a look back at our high temperatures for the month of May, we experienced more days below normal than we did above our seasonal average. For the first couple of days of June, temperatures continue to trend cooler than our seasonal average of 100-degrees before warmer days kick back in.
