Instead of typing in 16-digit passwords again and again during their shifts, nurses at a Pennsylvania hospital now just scan their badges. Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest in Allentown recently launched the Tap and Lock program on its medical-surgical unit — a nursing innovation unit — and two other departments, with plans to expand it to all workstations soon.
Route 22 reopens after crash in Whitehall Township
All eastbound traffic lanes have reopened on Route 22 in Whitehall Township after a crash Sunday evening closed the highway. BASD calls for tax increase in 2024-25 budget
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Bethlehem Area Board of School Directors on Monday voted to adopt the 2024-25 proposed budget calling for a 3% tax increase for property owners. "(This) budget keeps us where we want to be, managing the sacrifice throughout the organization and also some shared sacrifice in the community," said Superintendent Jack Silva.
