Brittany Johnson was found murdered in her home on the night of Thursday, March 2, 2023. Her ex-boyfriend, Joseph Christopher Cole, was sought as a suspect. An Anderson County grand jury delivered an indictment for a charge of murder in August later that year. As of Thursday, Cole was booked into the Anderson County Jail with a $1 million bond.
