Warming trend continues into work week
PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - High pressure has given us a nice, sunny, and unseasonably warm day. The record high for today is 88 degrees set in 1956. Tonight will be another warm night with temperatures only expected to fall to the low 60s once again which is about 15 degrees above average for this time of year. The reason for the warm night time temperatures is because of the southerly flow we are seeing. Monday will be another sunny and even hotter day. Highs are expected to reach about 87 which, if we hit, would break the previous record high of 86 which was set in 1991.
