    Boys lacrosse: Warriors wallop Sauk Prairie

    Smothering defense and a productive offense combined to carry the Waunakee boys’ lacrosse team to a 9-1 win over Sauk Prairie on Monday, April 29.

    Charlie King led the way with four goals, while Alex Mikkelson had two and Taggart McKelvey, Justin Sawicki and Adrian Millin finished with a goal apiece.

    Millin won all nine of his faceoffs, while Sam Hogland, Brandon Sawicki and Justin Sawicki had assists, as did King and Mikkelson.

    Millin also scooped up a team-high six groundballs, while Wade Bryan and Logan Ehle finished with four apiece. Isaac Margala and Calvin Behnke each had two.

    Bryan paced the Warriors in forced turnovers, ending up with six. Behnke had four, Ehle collected three and Josh Truscott recorded two.

    Isaac Schultz stepped in as netminder and had five saves.
