Medford continues strong play with series win over Northland Pines
EAGLE RIVER, Wis. (WJFW) - It was business as usual for the Medford Raiders this Saturday afternoon as they completed a doubleheader sweep of Northland Pines. The Raiders were able to take game one and follow it up with a hard fought victory in game two. The Raiders were in a hole early in game two as the Eagles were able to put two runs on the board in the top of the first inning. But this Medford club is a resilient bunch and they were able to rally and tie the game up at 2-2 in the second inning. The Eagles would put give the Raiders a fight as they would not go away, however Medford's offense was too much for Northland Pines and they won game two by a final score of 9-7.
