Following closure of animal rescue in Woodruff, 87 cats need homes
The Spartanburg County Pet Resource Center is hoping to find homes for as many as 87 cats and kittens brought to the facility on Oct. 20. Veterinarians at the Pet Resource Center have been providing care for the animals, said Kennedi Harris, community relations manager at the facility. She said the caregivers will determine which cats can be adopted. "A lot will be, we believe," she said. Four puppies were also taken from the property and relocated to a different shelter, Harris said. According to the report from animal control officers, Carol Ferger was operating the rescue. It was not registered as an official nonprofit. Harris said
