Opening day for the 47th Capital City Farmer’s Market
MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) - Are you looking for some fun outdoor activities? Well, it looks like Montpelier may have you covered for the spring and summer. After the devastating July flooding, Montpelier is truly feeling alive. Saturday marked the opening day for the 47th Capital City Farmer’s Market. It is an agriculture market where 70% of the vendors are required to be agricultural whether that’s produce, meat, anything else on the agricultural side. The other 30% is for craft and food vendors. There were over 50 vendors and hundreds came out to enjoy the weather and fresh produce.

Vermont Business Magazine In celebration of School Lunch Hero Day, the School Nutrition Association of Vermont and Hunger Free Vermont recognize the dedication, creativity and outstanding service of school nutrition professionals who ensure that Vermont students receive nutritious, healthy meals every day. As part of a national celebration, Vermont’s Essex Westford School District has received the School Nutrition Program of the Year Award.
