Spiking property crime rate puts Washington County homeowners on edge
HILLSBORO, Ore. — In Washington County, property crime is on the rise. Data from the FBI shows the rate went up about 18 percent over the last year in Hillsboro. Mike Andersen said he put up cameras outside his Hillsboro home after someone broke into his shed this March. Then this weekend, the homeowner tells KATU another person broke through the window to get inside the house.
Washington County honors women veterans with weekly TV series in June

HILLSBORO Ore. (KPTV) - On Monday, officials declared a temporary outdoor burn ban for parts of Washington, Clackamas, Yamhill, and Multnomah counties. Due to forecasted high temperatures, low relative humidity, and the potential for sustained winds, Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue enacted a High Fire Danger Burn Ban beginning Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at 8:00 a.m. for their entire jurisdiction.

Japanese beetle special yard debris collection *suspended because of budget issues. Due to budget constraints the Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA) cannot offer free yard debris collection and disposal services for residents or landscapers living or working in the Japanese beetle yard quarantine. Instead, ODA is prioritizing pesticide application and trapping in infested areas. In addition, ODA will increase its trap monitoring for the possible movement of Japanese beetle by increasing traps placed at yard debris disposal sites.
