Week 10 Macon HS Football scores: Windsor wins seventh straight
Week 10 saw several schools get a week off thanks to the Bibb County School District’s fall break, but plenty of interesting games unfolded. Howard proved their mettle against a tough Mary Persons team by keeping up down the stretch, but the Huskies stalled in overtime for a 28-21 loss. Windsor remained one of the hottest — if not the hottest — teams in the lower classes of GIAA, winning its seventh straight game since an opening week loss to Stratford, a Class 4A squad. The Knights should have state championship aspiration as the season comes to a close soon. Here’s a full list of scores from this week: Mary Persons 28, Howard 21 (OT) Windsor 33, Piedmont Academy 0 FPD 26, Tattnall 12 Dublin 60, ACE 14 Westfield 57, Central Fellowship 7 John Milledge 63, Mount de Sales 12

For much of Friday night, First Presbyterian Day High School and Tattnall Square Academy were locked in a physical, low-scoring defensive battle. The game had a number of big hits, turnovers and long grueling drives. In the second half, however, FPD running back Dylan Reeves found a crease and exploded through the Trojan secondary, as the Vikings never looked back for the remainder of a 26-12 win. The 65-yard fourth-quarter run from Reeves, as well as the defense that forced two interceptions, were the catalysts for FPD’s big second half, snapping a three-game losing skid, improving their record to 5-4. Heading into tonight’s matchup between the two Macon rivals, FPD head coach Brett Collier said the message was to stick with the approach that had made his team successful earlier in the season. “The emphasis was, be who we are, play our style of football, work really hard,” Collier said. “It’s gonna turn our way eventually. And tonight it did.” Tattnall, which has fallen to 4-5, struck first behind star junior running back Micah Clyde. The Trojans moved downfield on their opening possession, with freshman quarterback Angelo Bellamy Jr. completing two back to back chain moving passes that helped set
