Bike swap for Park City’s mountain bike team anticipates record sales
The annual bike swap returned once more over the weekend, with the Park City Schools Mountain Bike Team hosting once again at Utah Film Studios in Quinn’s Junction. People turned over their bikes, accessories and apparel to the team last Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, with the gear then being sold Saturday and Sunday. Most everything was sold at affordable, used prices, with 20% of every item sold going to the team. Donated equipment netted 100% returns.
Miners softball gets the win on senior day
The Miners softball squad got the victory Tuesday afternoon on senior day, defeating Cottonwood 16-12. The game was a back-and-forth thriller, with Cottonwood drawing first blood in the top of the first, and Park City doing their most damage in the third and fifth innings. Park City entered those innings down 7-4 and 10-8, respectively, before rattling off four and six runs, respectively. That bottom of the fifth run really opened things up for the Miners, who tacked on two more runs in the sixth inning, yet only gave up two more in the sixth and seventh innings on defense.

Miners boys lacrosse defeats West Jordan last Friday. The Miners boys lacrosse squad defeated West Jordan last Friday 12-1. Ian Marsland and Liam Van Valkenburgh had big games, totaling three points each in the win. Park City is now 10-2 on the season, with four regular season games to go. Their next will come Wednesday against Olympus on the road at 7 p.m. The Miners have defeated the Titans in the finals for each of their last two state championships.
