WALTHOURVILLE, Ga. (WSAV) — The community of Walthourville spread love from neighbor to neighbor on Saturday.

Hillary Park was a draw for the Second Annual Food Truck Festival. People brought their appetites to enjoy a variety of sweet treats, seafood, and barbecue.

News 3’s Tina Tyus-Shaw and her husband heard about this incredible food truck festival on Facebook so the couple decided to stop for a bite to eat and to mingle with Walthourville residents—and they were so glad that they did!

Tina said it was an awesome time to meet some amazing people in the Walthourville community. Organizers say it’s important to nurture local neighborhoods.

“Mayor Baker wanted to have something for his community out here… and so he put this festival on and we’ve just continued with it,” explained Natalie Lopez, the event coordinator of the Walthourville Food Truck Festival. “It’s important to be able to come out, know your neighbors, and just spend some time with them.”

Covered by beautiful sunshine, the food truck festival in Walthourville also included games and music. People who attended the festival said they could not wait until next year’s return.
