Taste Budz Review: Gordo’s Cantina Mexican Restaurant
Chewelah keeps on growing, and there is now an awesome new Mexican restaurant, Gordo’s Cantina. Zack and I both ordered chef favorite items. I got the Tacos Placeros. They fill slightly toasted tortillas with tender, juicy chunks of beef cheek. Then, they’re topped off with cilantro, white onions, and pickled red onions. The meat was so tender it seemed to melt in my mouth. The combination of salty, savory meat and acidic pickled onion struck the perfect balance. The tacos are only $10 for three, but you can upgrade and add rice and beans for $5 more. I got mine with Rancho beans. The rice was flavorful and had a good texture.

Death Metal giant Dying Fetus to slay Spokane Knitting Factory
Although Dying Fetus formed about a decade too late to be considered one of the founders of death metal, the Maryland-based band has carved out its own niche somewhere between the extreme complexity and speed of technical death metal and the guttural growls and deep, heavy riffs of brutal death metal.
