Lingering Rain Showers Expected throughout Sunday with Potential for Heaviest Downpours in Mountains
SUNDAY FORECAST Keep the rain gear handy as a soaking rain continues across the region through much of the day Sunday. Steady rain will be ongoing during the morning hours with some locations picking up a quarter inch to over an inch of rainfall by the time the storm wraps up. The heaviest rain is expected from the overnight hours into late Sunday morning, especially across the mountains and foothills. It'll be a much cooler day with afternoon highs only reaching the mid to upper 60s. Breezy winds will add to the fall-like feel, particularly through the Gorge and exposed areas of the Basin. Rain will gradually become more scattered Sunday afternoon and evening, with improving conditions expected overnight. After this system moves out, drier and milder weather returns for much of the upcoming work week. COPYRIGHT 2026 BY APPLE VALLEY NEWS NOW. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.
