Maui police urge drivers to drive sober this holiday and graduation season
KAHULUI, Hawaii (KITV4) -- Maui police ask drivers to not drink - or use drugs - and drive, during this graduation season and Memorial Day weekend. MPD says in March, its Traffic Division conducted 12 Sobriety Checkpoints and one Saturation Patrol at various locations. Officers arrested 28 people for operating a vehicle under the influence of intoxicants. There was one near-fatal motor vehicle collision that month.
