Thousands of power outages reported after severe weather moves through Omaha metro area early Friday
OMAHA, Neb. — Severe storms moving through eastern Nebraska and western Iowa produced strong winds early Friday morning, and residents are coping with power outages. As of 1:15 p.m., OPPD reported more than 4,300 outages. More than 2,300 of those outages were reported in Washington County. KETV NewsWatch 7's Sarah Fili learned that Arlington, Blair and Kennard lost power. Officials in Blair reported trees and power lines down, but no severely damaged houses yet.
Valley man sentenced to prison, probation for motor vehicle homicide in crash that killed Omaha doctor
DOUGLAS COUNTY, Neb. — A Valley man received prison time and probation for his role in a crash that killed an Omaha cardiologist. Dale TenEyck was sentenced to 60 days in prison and 24 months probation for misdemeanor motor vehicle homicide in the crash that killed Matthew Latacha in September 2023.

Driver sentenced in fatal crash involving Omaha cardiologist
VALLEY, Neb. (WOWT) - The driver in a fatal Douglas County bicycle crash will spend the next two months behind bars. Dale TenEyck, 63, was sentenced in Douglas County Court Thursday morning to 60 days in jail followed by two years’ probation. He must also perform 150 hours of community service, take defensive driving classes, and must abstain from alcohol and controlled substances.
