Man arrested after seven-hour armed standoff in Marshall
A 26-year-old Marshall man faces several felony charges after a seven-hour armed barricade Wednesday morning at a home on Rectortown Road. Deputies were called to the house in the 4000 block of Rectortown at 1:30 a.m. after a woman reported she had escaped during a domestic dispute and that the suspect was still there, had weapons and had made "threatening comments of violence," the Fauquier County Sheriff's Office said in a news release Wednesday afternoon. She also advised there were other people still in the house.
