Preliminary Survey Results: EF-1 Tornado Hits Near Carbondale
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- An EF-1 tornado is to blame for some minor damage in Williamson County during the recent round of severe weather. According to the Williamson County Emergency Management Director Brian Burgess, the area was surveyed by the National Weather Service on Thursday in the southwest portion of Williamson County around Skyhawk Road. A preliminary survey indicated an EF-1 tornado hit the area on Wednesday with winds at around 90 mph.
