The weather cooperated for a special evening as guests visited before the start of the meal. It was one of the last events for Sara Post-Meyer, standing, as the mayor of Cuero. District 30 run-off race gathers attention in crossroads area
The upcoming District 30 run-off race between former Victoria Mayor Jeff Bauknight and former Jackson County Sheriff A.J. Louderback has become one of the most closely watched contests in our Crossroads area.

Monday, and cold front moves through, with the potential of some severe weather that day. Alert day will be issued on Monday. Finally, the sun returns on Tuesday. The next front is forecast to move through on Thursday, with another rain chance. Highs overall near 90 or just below, lows 60's and 70's.
St. Joseph Softball wins state, Flyer Nation celebrates on campus
ARLINGTON, Texas- The St. Joseph Lady Flyer are 2024 TAAPS State Champions! The Ladies set the tone early with five first inning runs. They would go on to run rule Grapevine Faith in the sixth inning with a walk off single to get the 12-2 victory.

Softball Recap: Hyde Park's loss ends 30-game winning streak at home
It was a good run, but Hyde Park unfortunately witnessed the end of their 13-game winning streak on Monday. They lost 10-1 to the St. Joseph Flyers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Hyde Park of the 7-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April.
