Family, friends of missing man seek public’s help in locating him
Family and friends of a 30-year-old Victoria, Texas, man say they have not heard from him in days and have filed a Be On the Lookout (BOLO) report of his disappearance with their local police department. Austin Jackson, who works on tugboats and barges out of the port in Victoria, was traveling from Texarkana to Victoria, driving a friend’s vehicle.
Pretrial hearing for Fernando Acosta Jr. to be held Thursday
VICTORIA, Texas - A pretrial hearing will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday, June 8, for Fernando Colin Acosta Jr. in the Amanda Johnson murder. Acosta, the suspect in Amanda Johnson's murder, turned himself into the Matagorda County Jail and is now out on bond. The bond was set at $500,000.

Two-vehicle crash leaves one woman hurt
VICTORIA, Texas - A two vehicle crash happened at the intersection of Blythe and Glascow Tuesday evening. A 77-year-old woman and a passenger were driving west bound on Glascow in a white 2006 Dodge Caravan while a 42-year-old man and a passenger were traveling east in a truck. They were both driving towards each other when the woman failed to drive in a single lane crossing left over the center line. She ended up side swiping the truck.
