Community Crossroads: VPD talks May events

Victoria Deputy Chief Eline Moya and public safety communications manager Lauren Meaux recently appeared on Community Crossroads to discuss a lineup of exciting events planned for May.

Among these events is the 1st annual foot pursuit and 5K Donut Dash , a unique combination of fitness and fun set for May 18. Additionally, they unveiled the 2024 Patch Program, a new initiative aimed at raising public awareness about key health issues affecting the community.

The Patch Program offers a series of collectible patches, each representing a different health awareness cause for the month. These embroidered patches will be available for purchase by the public for a $10.00 donation.

The goal of the program is not only to promote health awareness but also to showcase the police department's dedication to safeguarding the overall wellbeing of citizens.
