Police search for suspects after 18-year-old fatally shot

An 18-year-old man died after he was shot in Chatham County's Sugar Mill neighborhood, and police are searching for suspects in the homicide. Chatham County Police Department officers responded to multiple reports of gunfire in the 200 block of Sugar Mill Drive just before 9 p.m. Nov. 3, according to a community announcement. Officers found the 18-year-old suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital, where he died a short time later. The police department's Criminal Investigations Division and Forensics Unit went to the scene to interview witnesses and process and collect evidence. Police say shooting was not random Detectives believe the shooting was an isolated incident and was not a random event, according to the announcement. The investigation remains active, and police are continuing to search for suspects. Authorities did not identify the victim or provide a description of any suspect. Anyone with information about the homicide can submit an anonymous tip through the Chatham County Police Department app or its online tip form at chathamcountyga.gov . Crime Stoppers also accepts anonymous tips at 912-234-2020. Tipsters may qualify for a cash reward. The Chatham County Police Department is the lead investigative agency in the case. This

Three Savannah-based LLCs purchased the Savannah Crossings Shopping Center at 12052 Middleground Road. The center is near Georgia Southern University's Armstrong Campus. The property’s buyers were Ten Point LLC, 1713 Old Dean Forest LLC and B.G. Bazemore Holdings LLC. Zachary Riddle is the registered agent for Ten Point LLC and 1713 Old Dean Forest LLC. Riddle partnered with Savannah business mogul Greg Parker on renovation of Downtown Savannah’s Truist bank building on Johnson Square.
