VERMILLION, S.D. (KELO) — USD’s Myles Harden was among several Coyotes to participate in their NFL Pro Day. Despite limiting his participation in the event, Harden is still hoping to be the next Coyote taken in the NFL Draft.

Myles Harden was one of eight USD players to showcase their talents inside the DakotaDome back on March 25.

“It’s always good to come back to Vermillion where you played at all four years. It felt good just being back out here with the guys and being out here to compete in front of the scouts,” Myles Harden said.

“Myles is always working. When you get him back home, on his home turf in a comfort level, he’s even better,” USD defensive coordinator Travis Johansen said.

Harden was invited to the NFL Combine earlier in March. Following a strong showing there, Myles limited his Pro Day activity to just on field drills.

“I felt like I proved everything I had to do at the combine. Just to come back out here and do some drills, was the cherry on top,” Harden said.

Myles established himself as one of the top corner backs in the FCS last year, earning himself All-American honors.

“He’s a great young man. We talk in our program a lot about development and Myles was a perfect example of a guy that really developed through hard work,” USD head coach Bob Nielson said.

And now, the Miami Gardens, Florida, native is hoping to hear his name called in the NFL Draft.

“It’s always an exciting day for us as coaches too, to see our young men have that opportunity to go on and perform at the next level,” Nielson said.

“He’s a guy from day one that we thought could have a bright future, and his work ethic and everything is the reason he is where is today,” Johansen said.

“It still hasn’t hit me yet that I’m going through this process and my dream is about to come true. It still hasn’t hit me,” Harden said.

Harden has been projected as a late day two, early day three draft pick. The NFL Draft begins on Thursday and runs through Saturday.
