Venice Musicale to reveal scholarship winners

VENICE — The grand finale of Venice Musicale’s season will include its 2023-24 winners of its scholarships.

The Scholarship Concert takes place at 6 p.m. April 30 at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Venice.

“We’re excited to be awarding the most in financial assistance through our Scholarship Program since the program began many years ago,” it stated in a news release. “You won’t want to miss enjoying the talents of these extremely skilled young musicians. The concert is free and open to the public, but space is limited.”

Students from fifth-12th graders were judged by music educators Lunetta Knowlton, Beth Morrison and Linda Vasilaki, it noted.

“Winners will not be revealed until this one-night-only event,” it stated. “All auditioners will perform in the concert on the 30th.”
