Craft the Night Away in Sherman on Saturday
SHERMAN, Texas (KTEN) — A downtown Sherman parking lot will be transformed into a craft beer festival on Saturday night. "This is going to be a huge festival tomorrow," explained Karen Tooley, executive director of Downtown Sherman Now, which is sponsoring the event. "We have 22 breweries coming, bringing their craft beer. Each brewery is bringing three different kinds of beer, so that's 66 beers to choose from."

The Native Texas Butterfly House and Garden at Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary will reopen to the public on June 8, 2024. From June 8 through September 28, 2024, visitors can walk among free-flying native butterflies and other pollinators. Guests will be able to view butterflies up close while learning about their life stages. The butterfly house is home to an assortment of native butterfly species, which vary throughout the exhibit. 209 Salon to bring hair cut, color services to Prosper
209 Salon is expected to open in Prosper in early June. (Courtesy Adobe Stock) A new salon is coming to Prosper. The 209 Salon is expected to open at the intersection of Custer Road and US 380. The salon has existing locations in McKinney and Melissa, said owner Rich Whitaker in an email. Whitaker took ownership of the McKinney salon in 2013 and made it into a private family business, according to the website.
