Vallejo resident arrested for February homicide

( KRON ) – A Vallejo resident was arrested for a homicide that occurred two months ago, according to the Vallejo Police Department.

The Vallejo Police Department responded to a call for service regarding a shooting near the intersection of Bonnie Way and Melody Lane on Feb. 4. Responding officers found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Despite medical personnel rendering aid, the victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Vallejo PD detectives identified the suspect as 26-year-old Vallejo resident Ethan Menefee. The Solano County District Attorney’s Office issued an arrest warrant for Menefee.

On Wednesday, Menefee voluntarily surrendered himself to the police and was subsequently booked into Solano County Jail on his arrest warrant.
