State Police Discover Undocumented Alien Stash House
LAS CRUCES — New Mexico State Police (NMSP) officers arrested two individuals in connection with hiding undocumented aliens at a residence in March in Las Cruces. A NMSP officer made a traffic stop March 12, 2024, on Interstate 10 west of Las Cruces on a white in color Chevrolet SUV. The occupants were displaying signs of nervous behavior and inconsistent statements. The officer asked the driver, Albert Torres, 40, to exit the vehicle due to not having a driver’s license.

In my last column, I wrote about how the Santa Teresa Port of Entry, on New Mexico’s border with Mexico, came to be established in 1993, and how it was the state’s best hope of capitalizing on the U.S.’s growing trade with Mexico. 21-year-old Vado man arrested after holding up Eagle Quick Mart in Las Cruces
LAS CRUCES, N.M. (KFOX14/CBS4) — Officers with the Las Cruces Police Department arrested a Vado man after he robbed a convenience store at gunpoint Monday morning. Andrew Nevarez, 21, was arrested by LCPD officers and charged with armed robbery after he held up an Eagle Quick Mart located at 2110 N. Alameda Blvd. on Monday morning, according to court documents.
