Hermiston man jailed for attempted murder
HERMISTON – A Hermiston transient is in Umatilla County Jail after he allegedly stabbed another transient several times Thursday, July 18. Shane Springer, 35, is charged with second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, attempted unlawful use of a weapon, and a parole violation. All of the charges against him are felonies.

Wildfires burning in the region combined with forecasted conditions will cause air quality to reach unhealthy levels.
