Nearly 100 Years Later, This No-Frills Ohio Bakeshop Still Gets Donuts Right
I’ve eaten donuts in big cities, trendy cafes, and chain shops across the country. None of them hold a candle to what I found at Crispie Creme Donut Shop in Chillicothe, Ohio. This place has been making donuts the same way since 1929, and walking through that door feels...

The Brickhouse Social brings pastries, coffee and community together
CAMBRIDGE – The building at 709 Wheeling Ave. in Cambridge's downtown has a lot of history — and a lot of character. It has served as a drug store, antique shop, driver's education site, Sears store, women's clothing store and a restaurant called the Guernsey Kitchen. It had been vacant for nearly three years, but the three co-owners of the soon-to-be Brickhouse Social want to bring it back to life with an atmosphere of community and inclusivity. Austin Warehime, Lynsey Beros and Allison Tayler hope to have the new coffee shop open later this month, as they are still waiting on a health permit. They anticipated getting it approved soon and quickly turning around with open doors, Austin explained. Hot drinks, hub bub and history The menu has been quietly built behind the scenes and will include many common coffee shop beverages, like lattes, macchiatos, mochas, cold brew, Americanos, chai, and matcha, along with a monthly specialty drink. The Brickhouse Social will also be offering a rotation of different pastries (including gluten-free options) made by a baker from the local R&R Catering, including scones, cinnamon rolls, muffins and danishes. "Our product that we're selling is coffee, but more than anything,

The Ohio River Town That’s Gaining A Reputation For Seriously Good Food
Tucked along the banks where the Muskingum meets the mighty Ohio River, Marietta has quietly transformed into one of the most exciting food destinations in southeastern Ohio. I first rolled into this historic river town expecting charming architecture and river views, but I left absolutely smitten with the culinary scene that has blossomed here. What started as a few ambitious chefs and passionate restaurateurs has grown into a full-fledged food movement that is turning heads across the state.

This Ohio Restaurant Is The Reason Locals Do Not Mind The Drive
I’ve driven past countless restaurants in my years of exploring Ohio, but only a handful have made me want to get back in the car immediately and return for another visit.
