Washburn County DA named Distinguished Alumnus
RICE LAKE - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire – Barron County Foundation announced their selection for 2024 Distinguished Alumnus as Aaron Marcoux, Washburn County district attorney, at the campus’ May 16 commencement ceremony. Marcoux attended what was then known as the University of Wisconsin-Barron County from 1998-2001. BARRON - Barron Electric has awarded $21,000 in scholarships to 21 local high school students to help continue their education. Scholarship winners were selected by their schools, and each student selected exemplifies academic achievement, commitment to their communities and leadership ability.
