PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - The City of Pittsburgh is proclaiming Thursday, 'Yinzer Day,' in honor of the start of a new festival called Yinzerfest. It's celebrating all the Steel City offers for four days at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.Doug Mariani is going back to the 70s."When you walked around in 1979, you walked on air every day, not just the day that they won the Super Bowl, or the World Series, every day because you're from Pittsburgh," Mariani said. McAnnulty Elementary School students go the extra mile for bus drivers
BALDWIN TOWNSHIP, Pa. (KDKA) — The youngest students in the Baldwin-Whitehall School District went the extra mile for school bus driver appreciation week.Bus drivers often don't get enough recognition, but the kindergarteners at McAnnulty Elementary School showed them some love on Wednesday by giving them handmade cards and artwork. PennDOT seeks input on Route 30 upgrade
A May 9 hearing will gather input on a proposed improvements to Route 30 from the Route 48 intersection in North Versailles to Carpenter Lane in North Huntingdon. PennDOT representatives and the project team will have the project plans on display from 2:30 to 4 p.m. at the Hartford Heights Fire Hall, 14335 Route 30, North Huntingdon. That will be followed by a public hearing from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Comments can be made about the environmental assessment of the project, said PennDOT spokeswoman Laina Aqualine.
