Tulsa Police shares list of 8 candidates in the running to be the next chief

TULSA, Okla. — We are getting our first look at eight high ranking members of the Tulsa Police Department who are in the running to be the next chief.

Tulsa Police posted an image of the candidates on Facebook on Thursday night after the application window closed on Wednesday.

In alphabetical order they are Major Richard Alexander, Deputy Chief Jonathan Brooks, Deputy Chief Eric Dalgleish, Major Thaddeus Espy, Deputy Chief Dennis Larsen, Major Matthew McCord, Major Laurel Roberts and Major Mark Wollmershauser.

Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum received the applications and will move forward with the process of selecting the department's next leader.

He hopes to have the next chief in place before Chief Franklin retires at the end of July.
