Ole Miss men finish day one nine under, tied for fourth at Stanford Regional
STANFORD, Calif. – The No. 2 seed Ole Miss men's golf team came out focused and ready for competition at the NCAA Stanford Regional on the Stanford Golf Course, finishing the day with a 271 (-9) score and tied for fourth. The Rebels collectively made 19 birdies and 58 pars on the day to contribute to their tie for fourth placement. They currently hold a six-stroke cushion within the top five, which they must maintain for the next 36 holes to advance to the NCAA Championship in Carlsbad, California.

Softball Rebels bounce off bubble and into NCAA Tournament
The Ole Miss Rebels bounced off the bubble and into the 64-team NCAA Softball Tournament on Sunday night. The Rebels (31-25) are heading to the Lafayette Regional hosted by the No. 13 seed Lousiana Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns (42-17), who will play Princeton (29-16) Friday at 4:30 p.m. CT. Ole Miss' first-round game will be Friday night when they tangle with Baylor (32-20) at 7 p.m. CT. The game will be nationally televised on ESPN2.

Ole Miss softball squarley on the bubble as selection Sunday arrives
Ole Miss seems to be the only SEC team with a question mark by its resume' when the NCAA announces its 64-team tournament field Sunday night. Twelve of the conference's 13 softball-playing teams have an RPI of 28 or higher. Ole Miss, which finished the season hot with series victories over Auburn and at Arkansas and won its first game at last week's SEC Tournament, owns an RPI of No. 44. The Rebels own an overall record of 31-25 and finished in last place at 7-17 in the conference.
Ole Miss fraternity kicks out member accused of making ape-like sounds toward Black protester
A University of Mississippi fraternity has removed a member who was accused of harassing a Black protester at the college’s pro-Palestine encampment by mimicking a monkey. OXFORD, Miss. - A 13-year-old girl has been found after she went missing in Mississippi, police said. She was reported missing in Oxford, Mississippi, according to the Oxford Police Department (OPD). Courtland man accused of credit card fraud
OXFORD – A Panola County man has been arrested in connection with the fraudulent use of a credit card at an Oxford business. Oxford police responded to a business in the 2200 block of Jackson Avenue May 3 to take a report on credit card fraud. An individual from out of state called the business regarding a charge on their card at that location. After a brief investigation, Ladarius Wren, 31, of Courtland, was arrested for credit card fraud.
