Tulip Extravaganza photo contest winner revealed
The winner has been announced for the 22nd annual Tulip Extravaganza, a photo contest in downtown Hendersonville hosted by Barbara Hughes of Narnia Studios. The contest ran through the month of April and had contestants submit photos of tulips blooming along Main Street in downtown Hendersonville. This year's winner was Hendersonville's Debra Anderson for her photo of tulips with the Historic Henderson County Courthouse as the backdrop. Her photo was titled "Another Day in Paradise," according to a news release.

Roundtree's final day as a city council member was May 1, and the follow day at the council's regular meeting on May 2, members unanimously voted to appoint Melinda Lowrance as Roundtree's replacement.
