Troy police officers were called to an apartment complex near Big Beaver and Rochester Roads around 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 22 after reports of a possible hit-and-run.

Troy police officials say the driver of a black Hyundai Tucson hit a parked truck “numerous times” before she parked, got out of the SUV and ran inside, with the vehicle still running.

When officers showed up they found the unoccupied Hyundai backed into a snowbank.

Officers spoke to a woman who matched the description of the driver and she admitted the car was hers and that she had been driving it.

Officers noticed she had glassy eyes and her speech was slurred. After failing several sobriety tests, she blew a .201 BAC on a preliminary breath test.

The woman, whose name has not been released, was arrested and taken to the Troy Police Lock-Up, where chemical breath tests came back with results of .209% and .208%.

She was issued a citation for operating while intoxicated, which police officials say was her second offense.
