Purple Cow League finishes up 4th year
About 90 kids signed up to participate in this year’s Purple Cow youth basketball league at New Haven School, keeping the league strong for its fourth year. The league is for kids preschool-aged through second grade, giving kids a chance to work on their basketball skills before they move on to the school leagues, which start the third-grade year.

McCracken County High School senior pitcher/infielder Miller Green has been named 2024 Mr. Baseball by the Kentucky High School Baseball Coaches Association. Green is batting .447 with three home runs, nine doubles and 33 RBIs for a McCracken County team that is 33-9 entering Friday’s state semifinal against Owensboro Catholic. On the mound, Green is 3-1 with one save and a 0.54 ERA. He has 56 strikeouts and 19 walks in 38 2/3 innings.
