Flamingos bring flocks of love to Keystone family
KEYSTONE, Iowa (KCRG) - People in Keystone are flooding a local family with support, in the form of flamingos. 8-year-old AJ Gale from Keystone has been in the hospital for nearly two weeks now, after getting a fever and falling sick. His mother, Amber, says sickness is complicated by the number of conditions AJ was born with. “He was born with half of a heart. He’s had a number of couple of open heart surgeries. I lost count of how many heart caps,” says Amber. “Has a trach, and a G tube as well. He’s on oxygen normally.”
